Abstract

Professional working with the persons with various disabilities for their education and rehabilitation for 21 years. Having expertise
in:

· Teachers Training Program in the field of disability and rehabilitation.
· Vocational training programs and job identification for persons with disabilities. 
· Planning and implementation of various training programs in the field of disabilities and rehabilitation.
· Coordination with different Government and Non-Governmental Organizations working for/with the persons with disabilities.
· Designing curricula and syllabi for teacher’s training courses of Diploma, Graduate and Post Graduate level programs.
· Proper management of human resources for achieving goals in timely manner.
· Proactive initiation for successful implementation of inclusive education.

Publications

· Block & Unit writer of SIM of UG & PG programs of IGNOU.
· Co-author of Status of Disabilities in India, 2009 (9 Chapters of Visual Impairment Section) published by Rehabilitation
Council of India, A Statutory Body under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India.
· Authored 4 chapters in reference book named Drishtibadha Shikshan related to various educational and rehabilitation
aspects of persons with visual impairment.
· Authored one book named Special Education.
· Wrote several research papers in the field of disability and rehabilitation in international and national publications.
Research Project

Completed a Minor Research Project under innovative research scheme which was sponsored by University Grants Commission,
New Delhi.

International accomplishments 
· Participated and presented a research paper in 12th World Conference on Achieving Equality in Education: New Challenges
and Strategies for Change at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia organized by International Conference for Education of Visually
Impaired (ICEVI). The title of the paper was Role of Parents and Teachers in promoting Inclusion of Visually Impaired
Children. University Grants Commission, New Delhi sponsored the expenses of participation and presentation of research
paper
· Presented a research paper in World Congress Braille 21 at Leipzig, Germany; an international conference organized by
German Central Library for the Blind, Germany. The cost of participation including travel, accommodation, registration etc.
was borne by organizer. Research paper title was A study of Braille reading behaviors of children with visual impairment. 
· Presented a research paper in an international conference on Education for All: Joint WBU & ICEVI General Assembly,
Orlando, Florida, USA which was jointly organized by World Blind Union and ICEVI. The title of the research was A
Study of Extent and Types of bullying pattern among children with visual impairment studying in inclusive education setting.
University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Indian Council for Social Science Research, New Delhi jointly sponsored the
expenses of participation and presentation of research paper.
· Presented research paper in International Conference of ICEVI West Asia at Kathmandu, Nepal from 16-18 February,
2020.
· Organized Three days International Conference on “International conference on innovative practices and researches for
education and rehabilitation of persons with visual impairment (Divyangajan)” on 26th February, 2020.
· Selected for Fellowship for Educational Leadership Program of Perkins School for the Blind, Boston, USA worth
US$ 40000

Experience

1. Itinerant-cum-Resource Teacher in National Association for the Blind, New Delhi from July 10, 2000 to September 08,
2004.

· To promote integration of visually impaired students in mainstreaming education.
· To understand the problems of visually impaired students in their academics and to solve them in an appropriate manner
through action research.
· Make visits to the schools meant for the non-disabled to check the problems of teaching staff and the sighted peers while
teaching/studying with visually impaired students.
· To give compensatory teaching/resource facilities to visually impaired students.
· To arrange various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for students with visual impairment including sports like
swimming for visually impaired. 
· To give education to visually impaired children of Secondary and Sr. Secondary level enrolled in NIOS - Study Centre at
N.A.B.
· Carry out action research for the better results in education of the disabled.
· Course Coordinator of B.Ed. Special Education-Visual impairment program of M.P. Bhoj Open University and to take
contact classes of graduate students.
2. Assistant Professor in Faculty of Special Education at Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University,
Chitrakoot from 09.09.2004 to 20.07.2013.

· Founder member of the Department of Special Education as well as Faculty of Education in J.R.H. University, Chitrakoot, U.
P.
· To create man power for the education of children with visual impairment by teaching students of B.Ed. Special Education-
Visual Impairment & Hearing Impairment and M.Ed. Special Education- Visual Impairment.
· To supervise dissertation work of M.Ed. Special Education- Visual Impairment. Several students completed their researches
on various aspects of education and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities like policy implementation status, impact of
various schemes, attitudes of various stakeholders towards mainstreaming of persons with disabilities, achievement tests
designing and several more. 
· Also taught students of B.Ed. & M.Ed. These courses are regulated by National Council of Teacher Education through which
pupil teachers learn to teach non-disabled students. 
· Providing statistical data of the University to University Grants Commission as a part of responsibilities of Nodal Officer of the

Experience in working with a NGO named United Society for Rehabilitation and Inclusion (Founder Vice-Chairperson)

· A state-level Non-Government & Non-profit organization was established to promote the activities for the development of
deprived sections of the society and also to promote the study of disability in social, cultural, and political contexts.
· Publishing an international peer-reviewed research journal named ‘Preeminence’ as Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
· As Vice-Chairperson of the NGO, activities are designed to augment understanding of youth, children, women and disabled
in all cultures, to promote greater awareness of the experiences of these people and to advocate for social change.
· Work towards the integration of people with different physical and sensory disabilities into mainstream society.
· To arrange quality community-based rehabilitation services for all age groups.
· Reaching all the disabled children in Uttar Pradesh by ensuring public awareness about disability; building government
capacity, empowering parents to offer care and protection to their children with disabilities and facilitating individual with
disability to access services for rehabilitation.
· Advocacy activities to ensure proper understanding of disability related policies, programs and legislation.



Prior to start working with and for the persons with various disabilities the Editor spent his childhood with playing, interacting,
spending time with persons with visual impairment from the year 1986, when his father started working with National Institute
for the Visually Handicapped, Dehradun. He used to stay with his family in the premises of this apex level institute for the
visually impaired and thus experienced several aspects of education, rehabilitation, mainstreaming, vocational domains and
several other aspects related to the persons with visual impairment. The Editor rendered his services as Reader, at the age of
14 years, to one of the visually impaired faculty member at NIVH, Dehradun, which helped him to understand more about
educational aspects of persons with visual impairment.
